EMERGENCY COUNCIL MEETING!
Your Combine City Council is having an emergency meeting tonight, Monday Oct 15 regarding the Combine Police Department. The new Chief resigned recently. There are no other officers at this time.
This council previously discussed DISBANDING the police department entirely with the idea of depending on Kaufman County Sheriffs for law enforcement.
Sign in at the door for Citizen's Comments at the beginning of the meeting. This is your opportunity to let your issues or concerns be known to YOUR city council about a police department or NO POLICE DEPARTMENT.

Why did the Police Chief resign?
Probably got tired of driving the beat-down, terrible roads...another wonderful things city leaders did for us. Besides why would someone "want" to work for Combine? Can you imagine working for the clowns we see running the city?
I was not able to make last nights council meeting. Can someone fill me in on what was discussed? Thanks so much
Y'all say Combine does not need the police, but I have not seen a sherrif around here in a week. What are you going to do when you actually need the police? Wait an hour for the sherrif? I sure hope someones wife isnt getting raped or held up. A lot can happen in that time period.
I say hire a new one.
I just heard about Chief Grady resigning. For the first time since I moved to Combine 15 years ago, I finally felt safe. So this message is for Chief Grady, as a citizen I am asking you to reconsider your resignation. I have talked to other people who felt the same way. So, if you read this message please sign on to ask him to stay also. Maybe if enough people ask him he will reconsider!!
When we lost Chief Grady as our police chief we lost the best thing that Combine could possible have. Try to get him to stay. We don't want anyone else.
I really wish people would think before they speak it doesnt even take an hour to drive across the county why would it take a deputy an hour to get to combine. And I agree Chief Grady was definately the best person for the job.
I agree we all need Chief Grady back really bad.
I disagree about the hour response time. No matter what, if there isnt any law enforcement in this town full time, response time will be a joke. Do you want to wait for them to show up when YOU need them? I dont. I want them here when needed.
Had I not been told of this blog, I would have never known about the police chief resigning. Disbanning the Combine Police department is a BIG mistake! What are you thinking? Obviously not about your family, property, neighbors or community as a whole! You are asking for crime in our community - a big open invitation and it won't take long for the word to get out. Unless Kaufman County assigns officers to Combine, we are hosed should immediate assistance be required! Their response time is pathetic. The suspect could have his way and be long gone for hours before an officer would show up. Serious thought had better go into this decision otherwise we are all sitting ducks!!
This is the 21st century folks! The Combine City Council needs to join us. Combine needs some strong leadership, innovative, and willing to be flexible to meet the needs of the city--not their own personal agenda.
HAS ANYBODY NOTICED THAT THE RAOD GOING TO THE HUNT RANCH IS BEING COMPLETELY REPAVEED ???? KINDA FANCY CONSIDERING 4 PROMINATE FOLKS WILL BENEFIT AND THE REST OF THE ROADS ARE STILL BAD OR JUST "PATCHED"....THE 4 PEOPLE ARE THE HUNTS, THE COUNTY SHERRIFF, THE CITY JUDGE AND HER HUSBAND WHO IS THE CITY FIRE MARSHALL, AND A FORMER CITY COUNCIL MEMBER....KINDA IRONIC HUH ????
